John Milstead - Spotlight ArtistPosted by webmaster in Untagged |
TJ: What do you call your hometown?
Milstead: Tupelo, Amory, Wren, MS
TJ: How did you start playing music?
Milstead: I've been daydreaming songs in my head since i was really young but didn't touch the piano until age 16 and guitar at almost 18. Singing started out as a joke -- I would imitate artists/actors for my high school friends.
TJ: What is your music about?
Milstead: Some of my original music is personal experiences and some material is completely random thoughts.
TJ: What inspires you to write songs?
Milstead: Feeling something strong emotionally usually makes it easy to write new material. If you try too hard to come up with stuff it's usually not too good.
