TUPELO, Miss. (WTVA) - The City Council voted 4-3 Tuesday night to ask the state for permission to include liquor in its alcohol sales on Sundays.
It's not known if or when the state Alcohol Beverage Control will allow those additional liquor sales.
The Columbus City Council voted in September to allow Sunday liquor sales, and ABC approved that the following month.
The Tupelo City Council approved Sunday sales of beer and light wine back in September.
