Ty Brown, northeast Mississippi native and bachelor from this season's Bachelorette on ABC, won over many fans and hearts with his southern charm and accent.  Ty just released his first single "Living in the Moment" on iTunes.  Fans of this seasons Bachelorette can recall this song from the second episode when he sing to Alli on the beach.

“It’s a great place to mingle,” is one of the things filmmakers and festival goers alike have to say about the Tupelo Film Festival.

Established in 2004, the festival combines a beautiful setting, Southern Hospitality and world-class film screenings and workshops. And each year the festival brings together dozens of films and hundreds of film fans from around the world.

As well, the festival aims to be a centerpiece in the Tupelo Film Commission’s goal of fostering a vibrant film community in Northeast Mississippi.

 Awards are given in the following categories: Student, Short Film, Documentary, Animation, Music Video and Feature. Films are judged by filmmakers and Film Industry leaders from around the nation.

39th Annual Cellular South GumTree Festival The Cellular South GumTree Festival will take place surrounding the Lee County Courthouse with artists and craftsmen from across the United States gathering to sell their art and compete for over $12,000 in awards. It’s two full days for the entire family with lots of good food, entertainment, and fun.

"Wine Downtown" is a new event in Downtown Tupelo created by the Downtown Tupelo Main Street Association to encourage everyone to visit Downtown Tupelo and showcase downtown businesses. Beginning at the Main Street office and ending on the rooftop at Park Heights, participants will have a fun evening tasting wines from around the country paired with tasteful appetizers prepared by local chefs.

Tickets $15 Advance; $20 Event Day (as available)

The Singer Songwriter Showcase is a night of good times and great music. This all acoustic event is your chance to meet up and coming musical acts from the North Mississippi area. The event is being held at Main Street Bar and Grill in Tupelo, Mississippi. All profits from the event will go to St. Jude’s Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee.

Admission is free with your donation to St. Jude's Children Research Hospital Donations will be taken at the door.
