OK This should probably go under the "Beefs" topic but it really has the most effect on the nightlife scene. Now I'm the first to YELL! "If your ass is drunk, ride with someone sober or call a cab!!!" If you want to kill yourself use a gun. At least that way other people on the road aren't a party to your stupidity! Now that that is off my chest, is it just me or do the powers that be seem to be targeting the people who frequent the venues who have music and booze while turning a blind eye to all the other places in Tupelo you can drink yourself into a stuper at? I have personally witnessed on sevreal occasions while dining at "corporate" restaurant & bars folks at the bar that couldn't handle a complete sentence much less driving a car.

My point is this, I don't feel that everything is on a level playing field when it comes to the DUI unit Nazis. Why am i so upset about this? Because the music scene and venues around here have it hard enough as is. We don't need any more reasons for people to not come out and check out a band or dance.

"Tupelo, Birthplace of Rock and Roll" ? Keep it it up and it will be the burial site as well...

I know what you mean. I went through one Wednesday night and again Saturday Night. It really sux for people who work nights and are just trying to drive home.
I'm sure it really sux for venue owners when they camp up the road from there business.
