Okay so the old Rib Cage has been re-opened under new ownership and is called Boondock's Grill. The building has been completely renovated and it looks great! The other night a few of us decided to give the place a try since Blue Tattoo was playing there that night. By the time we got there, the place was packed even though there was a cover charge. The crowd was a bit more mature than the normal Tupelo nightlife crowd, which was a bonus for the night. One other good thing about having a more subdued crowd is no need for bouncers or security. The atmosphere that night was great and the band was out of this world.

Now for the downside. The service was horrible, but not because the two waitresses didn't try very hard. They were just overmatched by the crowd. Did I mention there were only two waitresses and one bartender? After waiting for 20 minutes for a beer, some of our party drove over the The Stables to grab a drink and a shot. At 11 oclock they stopped serving alcohol. At 11!!!! We decided to go to another bar but it took 30 minutes to get our tab and pay out.

We will give it another try but management is going to have to figure out the staffing situation.

I went by a couple of weeks ago and I really liked the place. It's great to see that place open again. In my not so humble opinion, it's the best sounding room in Tupelo, bar none, with Woody's a very close second. Definitely give them another try. I think it will turn out to be one of the hottest spots in Tupelo.
