Does anyone have an update on Benjamin's? I've heard there are new owners... but rumors like this have been around for over a year... does anyone know anything concrete?

Just an update...
I heard that Cathy Smith is now managing Benjamin's restaurant and bar. No more Club Miami for one.
This is was hear say but the only info I have heard...

As far as I know, all you say is correct. I definitely know there will never be another Club Miami. Cathy is managing Benjamin's now and has some pretty good drink specials ($10 buckets of beer, try to find that anywhere else). They are also looking at having some national acts come in and try to get the place hopping like it used to. Benjamin's is my favorite bar in Tupelo and I hope to see it packed out again real soon.

benjamins aka mainstreet is my favorite bar hands down, and defintley one of my favorite dining places, I 'm booking some regional and national acts there this year, so come have a drink with me down there, its my second home, lets get it hopp'n again!

FICTION. Definetly FICTION... It used to be fun, but fell off just like almost every bar in tupelo has, and it's amazing that it's still open. why do only the worst, smallest bars stay open forever?? ie woody's, jr's, stables... i wish to God that Tupelo had ONE fun bar with decent drink prices and good music/bands most any night of the week. i just stay home now.
